This Chrome Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Team of Monkeys ("we," "us," or "our"), a division of STOM Research, treats information in connection with your use of our Chrome extensions ("Extensions"). Through our Extensions we offer free apps of games and TV Channels, delivered directly in your browser at no cost to you. We are committed to transparency and to protecting the privacy of every user who chooses to install our Extensions. Please read this Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your information and how we will treat it.
Our Chrome extensions are free entertainment products: games you can play instantly and always-on TV Channels you can watch around the clock. They are designed to be enjoyed the moment they are installed. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to subscribe to, and nothing to pay. We build them the same way we build everything at Team of Monkeys: fun first, friction never.
Our Extensions do not require a login of any kind. We do not maintain user accounts, we do not require registration, and we formally state that we do not need, collect, retain, store, or hold any user data whatsoever. We do not gather names, email addresses, browsing history, device identifiers, location data, usage profiles, or any other form of user-related information through our Extensions. Our products simply do not need your data to function, and a product that does not need your data has no business taking it. Any temporary data that may be processed locally in your browser for the sole purpose of providing extension functionality (for example, remembering a game score or a channel setting) stays on your machine and is never transmitted to us.
We monetize our Chrome extensions using affiliate links. This means that some of our Extensions may display or link to products and services for which we receive a commission or a portion of the sale when you choose to make a purchase. These affiliate links are selected because we consider them relevant and of genuine value to our users, and they are designed to be non-intrusive. Following an affiliate link is always your choice; simply using our games and TV Channels never requires it. This model allows us to keep every one of our Extensions completely free while never touching your personal information.
We do not use programmatic ads or anything like that. Our Extensions contain no programmatic advertising, no real-time ad bidding, no behavioral or interest-based ad targeting, no advertising SDKs that profile users, no tracking pixels, and no third-party ad networks that follow you around the internet. The advertising ecosystem that trades on user data is precisely the ecosystem we have chosen to stay out of. The only commercial content you will ever encounter in our Extensions is the plain, honest affiliate link described in Section 4.
If you contact us with a complaint, question, or support request (for example, at support@teamofmonkeys.com), the email you send us is the only information of yours we will ever possess. We use it solely to resolve your issue. Once the issue is solved, we delete the complaint and the associated correspondence. We do not archive support tickets, build contact databases, or use support correspondence for marketing of any kind. You reach out, we fix it, and the record disappears.
Our goal is user happiness, and part of user happiness is letting users keep their privacy. We believe the two are inseparable. An extension that quietly harvests data from the people it claims to serve is not making anyone happy; it is making them a product. We would rather earn a modest commission when you genuinely choose to follow an affiliate link than earn anything at all from information about you. By not collecting or retaining user data, we also eliminate our exposure to data breaches, reduce regulatory risk, and remove any temptation to treat our users as an asset to be mined. We encourage you to use our Extensions with the confidence that we do not seek to profit from or exploit your information, today or ever.
Our Extensions are distributed through the Google Chrome Web Store, and your download and use of any extension through that store is also subject to Google's own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control. If you follow an affiliate link to a third-party merchant, or a link to any other external website, the privacy practices of that destination are governed by its own policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you choose to visit. We do not attach user-identifying information to any such interaction, and we do not retain records of such interactions.
Our Extensions are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or such higher age as may apply in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not collect or retain any user information as stated in this Policy, we also do not retain information from children. If you believe that a child has provided information to us through one of our Extensions, please contact us at support@teamofmonkeys.com and we will ensure that no such information is stored by us.
Because we do not collect or retain user information on our systems, the risk of loss, misuse, or unauthorized access to your personal data in our possession is minimized. We do not maintain user databases that could be subject to breach. Any data that exists only in your browser remains under your control and is subject to your browser's security settings and Google's Chrome platform policies. We recommend that you keep Chrome and your operating system updated and use appropriate security measures to protect your device.
Because we do not retain information about you, there is no personal data held by us that you would need to access, correct, delete, or port. If you have questions about this Policy or our practices, you may contact us at support@teamofmonkeys.com. If you are located in a jurisdiction that grants you specific rights regarding personal data (such as the European Economic Area or California), please note that our policy of not retaining user information means that we have no data to disclose, correct, or delete in response to such requests, which is consistent with our commitment to your privacy. You may uninstall any of our Extensions at any time through Chrome's extension management page; uninstalling removes the extension and any locally stored settings with it.
THE CHROME EXTENSIONS AND ANY RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TEAM OF MONKEYS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE EXTENSIONS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSIONS IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. IN NO EVENT SHALL TEAM OF MONKEYS, STOM RESEARCH, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSIONS OR THIS POLICY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR LIABILITIES; IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
We may update or modify this Chrome Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective when we post the revised Policy (or as otherwise indicated in the revised Policy). We are not obligated to provide you with prior notice of such changes. Your continued use of our Chrome extensions after the effective date of any revised Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically so that you are aware of any changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Policy was last revised. If we make material changes, we may, at our discretion, provide additional notice (for example, through the Extensions or the Chrome Web Store listing), but we are not required to do so. If you do not agree with any changes, you should discontinue use of our Extensions.
By downloading, installing, or using our Chrome extensions, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Chrome Privacy Policy.
