How do you monetise your apps if there are no ads?
Instead of ads, we partner with reputable web indexing services that use a very small fraction of your internet and bandwidth to contribute to research‑related indexing tasks. The bandwidth usage is often lower than what apps with videos ad would typically consume. These partnerships help fund development while keeping the user experience clean and free of intrusive advertising.
Will the indexing service affect my TV performance or internet usage?
No. The indexing runs quietly in the background and is designed to use only minimal bandwidth. It does not interfere with your app’s responsiveness or streaming.
What do I get for agreeing to the web indexing?
You get full access to the entire line of candles and all app features in exchange for simply using some of your device’s resources while you enjoy the full app experience without ads and for free with ongoing support. The use of internet and bandwidth is in a manner that will not affect the device's operation and uses less resources than most video ads.
Can I opt-out of the web indexing service?
Yes, opting out is simple. If you no longer want to participate, click the circular 'Select' button on your LG remote to view the main menu, and then click on 'Settings'. Once in Settings, toggle the web indexing switch to the left which disables web indexing. This action fully removes any connection to the web indexing service and stops any bandwidth usage associated with it. The app will then be restricted to only one view of candles.
Is my data collected or shared?
Your personally identifiable data is not collected or shared. The indexing our partners perform does not access private personal information — it only supports technical indexing tasks needed by our research partners.
