Frequently Asked Questions

What is Team of Monkeys?
Team of Monkeys is a software company that builds high-quality apps optimized for big-screen TVs. We create experiences that are smooth, intuitive, and tailored for TV viewing with non-intrusive affiliate ads.
Do any of your apps show ads?
Yes. We use non-intrusive affiliate ads tied to targeted niche deals. They are designed to stay out of your way and not interrupt app usage.
How do you monetise your apps?
We primarily monetize through targeted niche markets with affiliate deals that provide good value to users. Some apps also offer optional partnerships with Bright SDK (web indexing) and Honeygain SDK; see Our Partners Bright SDK and Our Partners Honeygain SDK below. Our affiliate ads are designed to be non-intrusive while helping fund ongoing development.
Is my data collected or shared?
Your personally identifiable data is not collected or shared by Team of Monkeys. Optional partner services (Bright SDK web indexing and Honeygain SDK, where offered) operate under each partner’s own terms and privacy policies. See the partner sections below.
Which platforms do you support?
We support WebOS, Windows, Linux, and Android, with more platforms coming soon.

Our Partners Bright SDK

What is Bright SDK and where are the legal terms?
Some Team of Monkeys LG apps offer optional web indexing through Bright SDK. Bright is a separate provider. If you enable web indexing, you agree to Bright’s legal documents, including any updates they publish: Bright SDK End User License Agreement (EULA) and the Bright SDK Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, do not enable web indexing.
Will Bright SDK web indexing affect my TV performance or internet usage?
No. Bright SDK indexing runs quietly in the background and is designed to use only minimal bandwidth. It does not interfere with your app’s responsiveness or streaming.
What do I get for agreeing to Bright SDK web indexing?
Our apps are built to deliver great value without requiring accounts, and Bright SDK web indexing can unlock additional features in selected apps (for example, more views in Romantic Candle). You stay in control: you can turn web indexing off at any time in Settings. Resource use remains minimal and does not affect normal device operation.
How do I opt out of Bright SDK web indexing?
Click the circular Select button on your LG remote for the main menu, then Settings, and toggle web indexing off. This stops bandwidth use for Bright SDK indexing. The app may be limited (for example, a single candle view) until you re-enable web indexing to unlock full features again.

Our Partners Honeygain SDK

What is the Honeygain SDK and where are the legal terms?
Some Team of Monkeys apps may offer the optional Honeygain SDK through Honeygain’s partner program (for example for in-app perks or to help fund the app). Honeygain is a separate company. If you enable the SDK, you agree to be bound by Honeygain’s legal documents, including any updates they post: Honeygain SDK Terms of Service and Honeygain SDK Privacy Policy. Those documents describe how the SDK works, how device or internet traffic may be used, eligibility, limitations of liability, governing law (England and Wales), and other requirements. If you do not agree with them, you should not enable the Honeygain SDK.
How do I opt out of the Honeygain SDK?
Do not enable the SDK when your app offers it, or turn it off in the app’s settings if your build includes that control. You may also end your agreement with Honeygain for the SDK by removing the Partner Application from your device, as described in the Honeygain SDK Terms of Service.
