The Rayobyte Dashboard and API: Generating, Managing and Monitoring Proxies

A tour of what you can do in Rayobyte's dashboard, from generating proxy strings and whitelisting IPs to swapping static IPs and watching usage, plus how the documentation and API help you automate it.

One account, every product

Rayobyte manages all of its products from one dashboard: residential, ISP, datacenter and mobile proxies, the Scraping API, Web Unblocker and rayobrowse. You sign up with email, Google, Microsoft or GitHub, and the self-serve products are available right away. That single account is what makes it practical to route different targets to different products. Our proxy provider checklist lists what to expect from a good dashboard; here's what Rayobyte's covers.

Generating proxy details

For rotating products, the dashboard has a generator that builds the proxy string for you. You choose:

  • The product (Premium Residential, rotating ISP, rotating datacenter and so on).
  • Targeting, such as country, state, city, ZIP or ASN on residential. See Rayobyte geo-targeting.
  • Session type, rotating or sticky with a duration. See sticky sessions.
  • Protocol, such as HTTP or SOCKS5. See protocol support.

It outputs the host, port, username and password, often in several formats (host:port:user:pass, a full URL, or a list). Copy that into your tool. The "connection options" documentation explains each parameter if you'd rather build strings in code.

Managing static IPs

For static ISP, static datacenter and semi-dedicated proxies, the dashboard lists your IPs and lets you:

  • Download the list in the format your tool expects.
  • Swap individual IPs that have been flagged, while keeping the rest. See replacing Rayobyte IPs.
  • Choose authentication, username and password or IP whitelisting.

Whitelisting

You can add your servers' IPs to a whitelist so they can use the proxies without credentials. That's useful for browsers using SOCKS5 and for tools that can't send proxy credentials. See authentication options.

Residential tip: You can test most of this guide for free: Rayobyte offers a no-card trial on Premium Residential, rotating ISP and rotating datacenter proxies. Move to a paid plan once the pilot works. See our complete Rayobyte guide.

Usage and billing

The dashboard shows bandwidth used and remaining for per-GB products, and request counts for the Scraping API. Check it daily during a new project: an unexpectedly heavy page type or a retry loop can burn through bandwidth fast. Watch concurrency too on plans that cap it. See concurrency and threads.

Documentation

Rayobyte's docs cover connection options, code samples, the Scraping API and troubleshooting. There's also a knowledge base described as "answers from the support team", and a proxy troubleshooting page. If something fails, check there first; then see our Rayobyte troubleshooting guide.

Automating with the API

Larger setups shouldn't depend on someone copying strings from a dashboard. Rayobyte's documentation describes programmatic access for its products, including the Scraping API's request interface. For proxy management, check the current docs for endpoints to list proxies, manage whitelists and pull usage, and build your tooling around them:

  • Fetch your static list on deploy, instead of storing it in code.
  • Update whitelists automatically when servers change IP.
  • Poll usage and alert when a balance drops below a few days of normal use.

Keep API keys in environment variables or a secrets manager, never in your repository.

Support

Rayobyte says its account managers and engineers run the network, so "the person who answers you can fix the problem". It operates regions in US East, EU West, AP Southeast and SA East (Brazil) and has a team spread across many countries. For enterprise accounts, ask about a dedicated account manager and the SLA, which is linked from the site footer.

Proxy tip: For a second opinion on hard targets, run the same test through Geonode residential proxies, which support sticky sessions up to 24 hours and ASN targeting. We compare the two in Rayobyte vs Geonode.

How it compares

Webshare has a well-documented API for proxy lists, replacements and authorized IPs. Geonode's dashboard shows usage statistics and active sticky sessions and integrates with antidetect browsers. Rayobyte's strength is covering many products in one place. See Rayobyte vs Geonode API and dashboard, Rayobyte vs Webshare API and dashboard and all three compared.

If you're still shortlisting, compare these options with the wider market in our best proxies guide, and use our cheap proxies guide to estimate a sensible budget.

Budget tip: For jobs where a fixed IP list is enough, Webshare is one of the cheapest options: shared datacenter proxies are sold by the IP, and static residential (ISP) proxies cost well under a dollar per IP per month at the time of writing. More in Rayobyte vs Webshare.

Key takeaways

  • One Rayobyte dashboard covers every product, which makes multi-product routing easy.
  • The generator builds proxy strings with targeting, sessions and protocol choices.
  • Static IPs can be downloaded, swapped individually and whitelisted.
  • Automate list fetching, whitelisting and usage alerts with the documented API.

FAQ

Can I manage Rayobyte proxies without the dashboard?

Yes, to a degree. The docs explain how to build proxy strings in code, and programmatic access is documented. Check the current docs for the endpoints you need.

Where do I find my proxy credentials?

In the dashboard's generator for rotating products, and in the proxy list for static products.

Can I see how much bandwidth I've used?

Yes. Usage for per-GB products is shown in the dashboard.
